GRAND FORKS – The annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s is set for the morning of Sept. 27 at Sertoma Park, 3300 11th Ave. S., the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Grand Forks Area officials have announced.

The goal for this year’s event, which begins at 10 a.m., is $120,000. As of Monday, Aug. 25, $55,358, or 46% of the goal, has been raised by 144 registrants, including 32 teams.

Participants are encouraged to register in advance, either individually or as a team; there is no registration fee. Each registrant receives an online page to share with others.

Participants are asked to make a donation and commit to raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease. They may enlist donors for support; funds will be used for dementia support programs and research, either through a one-time dona
