GRAFTON, N.D. — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on the east side of Grafton, in northeast North Dakota.

The head-on crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, on Highway 17 near mile marker 129, in foggy conditions.

According to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, it involved a 2024 Ford Escape and a 1992 Ford F150.

The release said "the Escape was eastbound on ND Highway 17, approaching an eastbound implement of husbandry (a farm tractor pulling a chisel plow) in the lanes of travel. The F150 was westbound on ND Highway 17, in the left lane. The driver of the Escape attempted to overtake the implement of husbandry in a no passing zone, crossed the centerline, and struck the F150 head-on. At the time of the crash, dense fog was present."
