WEBB COUNTY, Tex. (KGNS) - A human smuggling attempt near the Webb-Zapata county line ended with multiple arrests, U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector officials said.

Agents posted photos of the incident, which involved a gray Cadillac seen picking up undocumented individuals near the county line. When the car was stopped, the people inside fled on foot.

Border Patrol, with assistance from Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and air operations, was able to locate and detain all the individuals. Officials noted that attempts to evade detection—even with camouflage—were unsuccessful.

The driver of the vehicle, who is now in custody, faces charges, along with the undocumented individuals found in the car.
