Las Vegas saw a 12% drop in visitation, or around 420,000 fewer people, last month compared to July 2024, according to new data from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

Harry Reid International Airport had a smaller drop, with 5.7% fewer passengers going through the airport’s terminals in July. While concerns about international travel have dominated headlines, the drop was more pronounced among domestic travelers: a 5.9% decline compared to 3.8%.

Clark County’s silver lining last month was that gaming revenue, both on the Las Vegas Strip and downtown, is up from last year. A key component of the state’s budget, gaming revenue this year has so far kept pace with 2024.
