For years, Sarah Gray said a foul smell has come from Thalia Creek , which runs through her backyard.
“At this point, I’m just looking for transparency, accountability, and a fix,” she said.
On Friday evening, they hoped to finally have answers from the City of Virginia Beach. But, given a preliminary report that Gray showed us from the city, she worries the city is going to push the responsibility to fix the issue onto the residents.
“We’re trying to let them do what they need to do and see what their testing reveals," she said. At this point, we’ve been in communication with soil testing companies and water testing companies to try to conduct our own testing.”
