CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — The Clovis Police Department reported that it is searching for one person in connection with a shooting that happened on Aug. 22.

Clovis PD identified Akeem Rashad Johnson, 38, as a possible suspect in a shooting that happened on Aug. 22. An arrest warrant for "Firearms or Destructive Devices (Transportation or Possession by Certain Persons)" and "Negligent Use of a Deadly Weapon" was generated for Johnson.

According to CPD, on Aug. 22, Clovis Police Department Dispatch received calls of multiple gunshots heard at 2101 West Grand Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the scene, and when they arrived, they noted rifle caliber casings on the ground in the center of a local apartment complex. No injuries were reported.
