(KRON) -- The family of a missing 47-year-old San Leandro man is asking for the public's help after he was last seen almost a week ago.

Hung "Monk" Nguyen was last seen Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m., according to loved ones.

Nguyen is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, Nguyen was reportedly driving a silver 2006 Honda Accord with license plate number 5SNS785 and wearing a white t-shirt, red shorts with a mullet-style haircut.

A missing person flyer distributed by the family reads "it is very unlike him to not come home to his family. Family fears he is in danger. Please help us find him."
