MADISON (WKOW) — The Madison Arts Commission is hosting a public meet-and-greet on September 4 at the East Madison Community Center. The event will feature mosaic artist Laurel True, who is designing public art for the new men's shelter on Bartillon Drive.
Community members can learn about True's artistic process and share their input on the art project, which aims to enhance the shelter and foster community connections.
"Including public art in the design of the Bartillon Shelter has the potential to create a bridge between the neighborhood and the shelter guests," said District 12 Alder Julia Matthews.
