WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (KXRM) — A man has been arrested in Woodland Park after allegedly sabotaging a cell tower, impacting T-Mobile and Verizon users as well as emergency services.

According to the Woodland Park Police Department, the city experienced a "major service outage" of cellular coverage on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 28. The interruption was originally suspected to be weather-related, which was what service providers told several customers who called for information.

On Friday, WPPD said radio service workers reported that an unknown man had allegedly entered a fenced property on Thursday around 4:45 p.m., where the service tower is located, and intentionally turned off the power supply to the radio communications tower.
