WINTERS, Calif. —

The Winters Festival de la Communidad, also known as the Carnitas Festival, has been postponed amid safety concerns in the current political climate, according to event organizers.

The event, originally scheduled for Sept. 27, is a family-friendly celebration at Rotary Park featuring Mariachi, a children's carnival, food trucks and carnitas dishes. Beyond the festivities, it was also a fundraiser.
