SACRAMENTO, California — A federal grand jury has indicted Cruz Tinajero, a 25-year-old from Napa, and Ashan Naeem, a 24-year-old from Stockton, on charges of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, distribution of fentanyl, and possession of a firearm without a serial number. The indictment was announced by U.S. Attorney Eric Grant.

Between April 11, 2024, and November 13, 2024, Tinajero and Naeem allegedly conspired to distribute at least 400 grams of fentanyl, according to court documents. They also reportedly possessed a semi-automatic AR-15 style rifle manufactured without a serial number. The case is the result of an investigation by multiple agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administrat
