The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA ) has issued a stark warning to all drivers, urging them to 'think' before they click. This comes in the wake of nearly 20,000 drivers contacting the DVLA in 2024 to report fraudulent activity. ‌

The government department's guidance emphasises that fraudsters are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their methods to trick victims into surrendering their personal and private data. Such data can then be exploited by criminals for a range of malicious purposes, including financial and identity theft. ‌
