ARMADA – It’s safe to say that Armada has Marine City’s number.

For the fourth straight year, Armada found a way to grind out a season-opening win over the Mariners – this time earning a 21-14 victory over the Marine City.

This is the second straight time that the game was decided by one score or less and the third time in four years that the game wasn’t decided until the waning minutes.

In 2022, Armada edged Marine City 28-21, while in 2023 the Tigers rolled to a 40-20 triumph in the series. Last year, it was Armada squeaking out a 28-27 victory before Friday night’s battle again went the Tigers’ way in a close affair.
