Simply called the “pool table house” located behind their Lake Eufaula home has memorabilia of all types – framed photographs and newspaper articles, hanging metal signs with scores of games, plaques and signed footballs – most of it chronicling the football career of Dothan’s Tommy Wade during his time as a standout player at the University of Alabama.

It’s a place Tommy and the men of the neighborhood gather to shoot billiards and talk football on Tuesday nights and his wife, Donna, hosts a weekly Bible study for the women the following morning.

A sign on a post leading down the driveway reads Bama Drive. There’s no doubting the football allegiance of the family.

Wade was a star safety, kick returner and even played some running back at times for the Crimson Tide in the late 1960s.
