Five new driving rules have been introduced in August - with motorists facing having cars "retrofitted" as a result. The changes relate to electric vehicle motorists, as a £3,750 discount on 2 Ford models becomes available as part of the Electric Car Grant scheme.

It slashes prices for consumers and boosting growth in the sector with eligible models seeing up to an 80% increase in interest amongst potential buyers, the Labour Party government has said.

It comes as 28 models are now on the list of eligible cars, thanks to government efforts to make owning an electric car cheaper and easier.
