(WHTM) - The Penn State Nittany Lions are opening the 2025 season with sky-high expectations fueled by last season's deep run in the College Football Playoffs.

Led by senior quarterback and Heisman hopeful Drew Allar, the Nittany Lions kick off the season at home against Nevada, the first time the two programs have ever met.

Penn State also returns its two 1,000-yard running backs, Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen, who are both vying for the school's all-time rushing yards and touchdown records.
