NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) – University of Oklahoma fans were able to set up their tents on the campus' North Oval for the first time in the school's history Friday.

Tailgating on the North Oval

The University of Oklahoma is allowing free, public tailgating for the first time ever on the Parrington Oval, also known as the North Oval. The university is encouraging fans to respect the historic part of campus during the busy game day.

Boomer Bash, OU’s alumni tailgate, will also move to the North Oval.

Tailgating in the North Oval is subject to a drop-off process: • Fans started setting up Friday from 6-8 p.m. • Fans can also set up Saturday starting at 7 a.m. • Fans can drop-off tailgating items at the West Boyd Street-South University Blvd. intersection. • Fans will only have 15 minut
