DECORAH, Iowa — Luther College President Brad Chamberlain introduced a new mission statement for the college as the fall 2025 semester begins.

This announcement came during the college’s annual Service of Dedication, marking the end of a two-year collaboration to update the mission statement last revised in 2006.

Chamberlain emphasized that the revised mission, along with new identity, vision, and values statements, would bring clarity and focus. "Our identity statement provides clarity about who we are. Our mission statement describes what we do. Our vision statement signals where we are going and our values explain why we act," Chamberlain said.
