MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - A 67-year-old caregiver in Wisconsin was arrested on Friday afternoon for allegedly abusing an adult in her care.

According to a release from the Madison Police Department, officers were called to investigate the reported caregiver abuse shortly after 8:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of Bunker Hill Lane.

The report alleged that a caregiver had abused a 23-year-old adult who is cognitively disabled and non-verbal. Video evidence in the investigation showed that Scholarstica Aniekwenagbu had battered the victim.

Aniekwenagbu was taken into custody in the afternoon for Abuse and Neglect of Patients/Residents.
