EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Wesselman Woods hosted a Weed Wrangle event this morning at Howell Wetlands.

The event, which ran from 9 a.m. to noon, aimed to remove invasive species from the area.

Volunteers must be 16 or older due to the tools involved in the activity.

For those who missed today's event, there are more opportunities to participate. The Weed Wrangle takes place on the last Saturday of each month, alternating between Howell Wetlands and Wesselman Woods.

Upcoming dates include October 25 at Howell Wetlands, as well as September 27 and November 22 at Wesselman Woods.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear long sleeves and long pants and to bring their own work gloves and tools. Water and snacks will be provided.
