THE Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have identified the second body of a hostage recovered from Gaza as 28-year-old Idan Shtivi.

His remains were one of the two retrieved by the Israeli military this week as they continue their push into Gaza City .

Shtivi was killed at the Nova music festival during the atrocities of October 7, 2023, according to the IDF .

He had tried to escape the horror with two friends, but lost control of the car, which crashed into a tree.

The vehicle was later found covered with bullet holes.

Shtivi's body was taken by Hamas and held in Gaza for 693 days.

His family had held onto hope that he might still be alive for a year, but were informed of his death on the eve of the attack's first anniversary.

A military statement reads: "Idan Shtivi was abducted
