GLENNVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) -- Area law enforcement agencies are mourning the loss of Georgia Bureau Investigation (GBI) Special Agent Tracy Sands.

Several agencies, including Tattnall County Sheriff's Office, Metter Police Department, Liberty County Sheriff's Office and others, shared their love and support after the news of his passing Saturday.

According to a Facebook post from the GBI, he "served our community with dedication, integrity, and compassion. His commitment to the badge and the citizens of Georgia will never be forgotten."

Agencies shared their condolences to his family, friends, and fellow law enforcement officers during this time.
