(WHNT) — Over in Tallahassee, the Crimson Tide lost its season opener against the Seminoles.

Alabama failed to establish the run in this game, only rushing for 74 yards.

While starting quarterback Ty Simpson played well at times, completing 23 passes for 254 yards, but at times seemed like the moment was too big for the redshirt junior.

Sophomore Ryan Williams was held to just 30 yards in this one and left with an injury.

In the end, Florida State quarterback Tommy Catellanos was too much for the Tide and they came out with the 31-17 win in this one.
