ATLANTA — A teen was arrested two weeks after a shooting left one person wounded at the Hamilton E. Holmes MARTA station, according to police.

On Aug. 13, MARTA Police received a call about two men fighting in the taxi pick-up area of the station, and it turned violent. According to police, a 17-year-old shot another person in the abdomen and ran through the parking lot before officers arrived on the scene.

Police said the victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. No information was available about the victim's condition at this time.

Officers with MARTA's Criminal Apprehension Team observed someone matching the description of the shooter two weeks later on Friday, Aug. 29. Police said the suspect was in possession of a handgun at the time of the arrest.
