WALKER COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Two people have been arrested in Walker County after reports they were stealing fiber optic cable from AT&T, Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith said.

Sheriff Smith said Carlton Lee Bryan and Robert Ray Talley were arrested on first degree theft of property charges.

Smith said the arrests were made following a complaint about it on Dogtown Road.

The sheriff said he appreciates the vigilance of community members in reporting suspicious activities.
