MINNEAPOLIS — The Annunciation Catholic community gathered Saturday evening for its first Mass since Wednesday's shooting.

For years, walking into Annunciation for worship had been a familiar ritual for parishioners, but after Wednesday's horrific tragedy, attending Mass on Saturday was anything but routine.

The familiar sounds of hymns floated through the school auditorium, temporarily transformed into a sanctuary while the church remains closed. Annunciation’s pastor, Father Dennis Zehren, presided over Mass during Wednesday's shooting and described the horror of the moment.
