AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Bobcats are picking up where they left off at the start of the 2025 campaign, hosting and handedly beating Eastern Michigan 52-27 in their final season in the Sun Belt conference.

Texas State didn't waste time striking in the first quarter, quarterback Brad Jackson found Beau Sparks for a 16-yard touchdown to kick off the season. Sparks played a huge roll in the offense ending his night with 82 yards and four touchdowns.

It was a team effort in all phases of the game. With less than four minutes in the second quarter, running back Lincoln Pare broke lose for 22 of his 170 total yards and his lone touchdown.
