A dad has been denied permission to move his family into his late mum's council house where he grew up.
Scott Alexander, 53, wants to swap his three-bedroom home in Erdington for the address with the same number of bedrooms in Falcon Lodge, Sutton Coldfield .
But Birmingham City Council has refused the request, which came after his mum Mary Alexander died in May after 55 years at the property.

It said the family, including five kids and wife Katie, had "no overriding priority given the very limited stock" of city housing. Scott is appealing the decision with a nine-point plea, adding: "We are desperate for help to get out."
