GREEN BAY — As he made his way through the Green Bay Packers’ Lambeau Field headquarters — on the VIP-est tour the stadium’s halls had ever seen — Micah Parsons saw just about everything there was to see inside his new place of employment.

He saw the recently renovated luxe locker room. He saw the artifacts of what he called the franchise’s “rich history” — including the four Lombardi trophies from the Packers’ Super Bowl I, II, XXXI and XLV championships. He saw the expansive weight room, the state-of-the-art training room, the near-Michelin quality lunchroom, the players lounge, the various meeting rooms.

But what made the strongest impression on him was when he went into the stadium bowl itself, and he looked high above the field and saw the names of the six players whose numbers had
