One Scottish area has been issued an official Flood Warning by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), as the whole country faces a weekend-long rainstorm. After 'almost certainly' the hottest summer on record, it's clear that global warming continues to cause more extreme weather in Scotland. ‌

The Flood Warning was issued in Glen Lyon near Aberfeldy at 12.20am last night (August 30), due to the extreme rainfall much of the country is seeing this weekend. The officials said the river Lyon has been rising due to the rain, and it risks flooding nearby agricultural land. ‌
