Worcester County’s sheriff bucked the government agency trend of using a state-issued credit card for expenses.

The office of Worcester County Sheriff Lewis Evangelidis spent zero dollars on a procurement card, or P-Card, in fiscal 2025, which their chief financial officer told the Herald has been the policy at the department for more than a decade.

According to the Sheriff’s Director of Communications, Eric Eisner, “the Sheriff and his administration do not authorize P-cards for anyone in the department, including the Sheriff himself.”
