Former Boston College center Alec Lindstrom was released from the Patriots’ practice squad Monday to make room for ex-Chargers guard/center Brenden Jaimes.

Jaimes, 26, made three starts over 45 game appearances for Los Angeles after being selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Nebraska. He made all three of his starts last season, then signed with the Titans in free agency in mid-April. Jaimes got cut in Tennessee last week.
Lindstrom spent the past two springs playing for the Memphis Showboats of the UFL. The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder also made previous stops with the Cowboys, Rams and Jets. He made his NFL debut as a practice-squad call-up for the Jets last November, and signed to the Patriots’ practice squad after being released last week.
