If you are a history fan living in Cambridgeshire , it is likely that you have already visited Norwich Castle, as it is easy to reach from the county. However, the castle museum has recently reopened after going through a £27 million redevelopment.

This means the museum now features new galleries and accessibility measures to allow everyone to enjoy the castle's history. The Grade-I listed building was first commissioned by William the Conqueror and was finished by his son Henry I in 1121.

Some of the new features at the museum include interactive elements such as dressing up opportunities to sitting on a restored throne like a Norman king or queen as well as learning about some of the people who had lived or visited the castle in the 1100s through character panels.
