CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - A firefighter was taken to the hospital as a precaution after a house fire early Sunday in Chesterfield County.
Fire crews were called to the 8400 block of Leno Place at 4:22 a.m. for the fire.
Chesterfield Fire and EMS says the homeowners were able to get out of their house safely.
“The first firefighters that arrived on scene found heavy fire coming from the front and side of the home. It took about an hour to mark the fire under control,” Chesterfield Fire and EMS said.
Chesterfield Fire and EMS says the firefighter taken to the hospital is expected to be OK.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
“Crews from the Richmond Fire Department also responded, along with the Metro Richmond Flying Squad, which helps provide rehab services for our fir
