MOBILE, Ala (WKRG) - Excitement was in the air and in the stands of Hancock-Whitney Stadium for the South Alabama Jaguars' 2025 college football season kickoff.
The Jaguars hosted the Morgan State Bears for the second-ever matchup between the two schools.
Morgan State got off to an early 7-0 lead in their opening drive, but the Jags answered back on the following drive, concluding with a one-yard touchdown run from senior running back Kentrel Bullock.
South Alabama scored 10 more points before halftime, including a 19-yard passing touchdown from quarterback Bishop Davenport to former McGill-Toolen wide receiver Anthony Eager.
South scored in the first drive of the second half thanks to a three-yard run from running back P.J. Martin.
