On August 25, Chatham-Kent municipal council was backed into a corner under threat of a potential $1-plus million lawsuit. That “bomb” was conveniently dropped during an in-camera session, right before the public meeting. Coincidence? Doubtful.

Residents delivered heartfelt deputations while council sat dejected, knowing the decision was already made, what a farce!
