In "Thursday Murder Club," a Netflix movie based on Richard Osman's novel of the same name, four residents in the Coopers Chase retirement home have a hobby of trying to solve cold cases. Then, they find themselves in the middle of an active investigation.

At the start of the film, they’re faced with two conundrums: A case from the 1970s in which a woman was stabbed and fell out of a window; and the fact that Ian, the man who owns the land the home is built on, is going through a nasty divorce and has to sell — no matter who he mows down in the process.
