MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Labor Day weekend is almost here and so is 901 Day. It is a chance to celebrate our hometown and everything that makes Memphis special. The official celebration is happening Monday on Beale Street.
901 Day is all about celebrating Memphis.
It started a little more than a decade ago as a way to turn the city's area code into a day of pride. Since then, it has grown into a major event that shines a spotlight on Memphis music, culture and the people who make the city what it is.
The city's official 901 Day Celebration happens from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday with two stages of live Memphis music, food and drink from local vendors, as well as creative spaces for kids, teens and their families.
