Well, obviously the return of explosive passing plays was a nice sight. Quarterback John Mateer completed seven passes of 20-plus yards against the Redbirds. OU had only 20 such completions from Jackson Arnold and Michael Hawkins Jr. in the entirety of last season. That ranked second to last nationally.
