As some of the most influential world leaders gathered in the White House in the hope of securing a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, US President Trump made a comment, not realising a mic was on.

Mr Trump has welcomed Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Finnish President Alexander Stubb to the US capitol, aiming to make further progress to end to Russia-Ukraine war.

The meeting came after a historic meeting in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday (local time), where Mr Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where he said the two agreed on many point
