Thunderstorm chances will taper off around 7:00 PM EDT this evening, and rain showers will be lingering around into the overnight hours. No severe weather is expected tonight other than lightning.

Tonight will be pleasant at 65 with mostly cloudy skies.

Labor Day will be mostly cloudy with a cooler high of 81. Thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon beginning around 2:00 PM and lasting until 9:00 PM. Lightning will be a threat for the northern Georgia mountains and for anyone who receives a pop-up storm. Rain showers will follow. We may get between a trace to a quarter inch of rainfall by the end of Monday.

The low Monday will be 64 with mostly cloudy skies.
