LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Most people slow down in their 90’s, but CHI Health St. Elizabeth volunteer Betty Bartlett said she’s called to serve. That calling is making a difference in the lives of patients, visitors and doctors.
At 92 years old, Bartlett shows no signs of stopping.
“Okay so this is 350, patient is in here,” Bartlett said.
As she makes her rounds at CHI Health St. Elizabeth, she keeps things in order, from the patient census to the hot chocolate in the visitors lounge.
“This is putting out the stuff and making sure everything is clean, which I did previously and realized we were getting low on some things,” Bartlett said.
Bartlett has been volunteering at St. Elizabeth for 29 years, serving as a helping hand and a listening ear.
