WAIANAE (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Fire Department responded to reports of a brush fire 50 feet up the side of the mountain near Kapaekahi Street and Kukai Place.

HFD said they currently have 16 HFD ground units and HFD Air 1 units on the scene battling the blaze.

Hawaiian Electric said that no Public Safety Power Shutdown (PSPS) needed at this time.
