ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The season for Buffalo Bills defensive tackle DeWayne Carter is done.

The second-year backup will miss the entire season after he tore an his Achilles tendon during practice last Wednesday.

The 24-year-old Duke product was selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft and missed five games last season due to a wrist injury. He started three games and played in 11 last season, finishing with 14 tackles.

Carter posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed with the caption: "God doesn’t make mistakes, I’ll be back. Thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes! John 13:7✝️"
