The New Orleans Saints are bringing in former Los Angeles Chargers 2024 seventh-round pick Brenden Rice for a workout, per Jordan Schultz.
Rice, the son of NFL Hall of Fame inductee Jerry Rice, was a standout wide receiver at USC, putting up 791 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023, earning Second-Team All-Pac-12 honors. Despite his success in college, the second-year wideout has yet to record a stat in the NFL.
At 6-foot-3, Rice is a physical receiver and wins off of press with his hands. He highpoints the ball at a high level is a great target for 50/50 balls. While he has struggled to create separation, at his size, he has underrated speed, running a 4.5 40-yard dash.
