El Paso’s three largest public school districts are on the uptick from their pandemic lows in state ratings and accountability reports.
The Texas Education Agency released A-F campus letter ratings for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years, after legal proceedings and attempts from school districts to block the release.
El Paso Independent School District, the county’s largest, received an overall district rating of 80, or a B.
“Our teachers, staff, students and families have worked tirelessly to raise expectations and achievement,” said Martha Aguirre, EPISD interim superintendent, in a news release. “While we are proud of earning a ‘B’ rating, we will leverage the momentum to reach our goal of being an ‘A’ rated district.”
