AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - New video was released on Sunday of Akron Police chasing two suspects who robbed a postal carrier at gunpoint.

In May, Akron police arrested two men in connection to the armed robbery of a postal carrier.

“I was trying to get my key out of my pocket. Threw my mail down,” the victim said. “He was like give me the key, give me the key.”

Akron police say Aarynn Rodgers, 18, and Dennis Harris, 20, targeted the mail carrier for his arrow key to open mailboxes.

The robbery happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Cordova Avenue on Wednesday, May 7.

Officers say Rodgers was wearing a ski mask when he approached the carrier and flashed a gun.

After the victim gave up his keys, Rodgers fled in a getaway car driven by Harris, according to police.
