LEXINGTON, S.C. — Lexington Police say a major intersection that had completely shut down Sunday evening has been reopened.

In a post on social media around 10 p.m. Sunday night, officers say the intersection of North Lake Drive and Sunset Boulevard was completely closed. A vehicle driven by suspect in a pursuit originating in Richland County crashed into the back of another vehicle after entering the Town of Lexington.

The suspect is in custody and Lexington Police say there is no danger to the community.
