PATTERSON- A 20-year-old Patterson man is facing jail time for allegedly killing a rabbit by pummeling and strangling the poor bunny.
Putnam SPCA Chief Ken Ross reported the arrest Sunday of Luis Parrales in connection with the alleged incident.
Ross said his office received a call from the New York State Police regarding the death of the six-pound Flemish mix rabbit caused by severe blunt force trauma and strangulation: “The rabbit’s remains were sent to Guardian Veterinary Specialists, where a necropsy was performed that indicated severe bruising throughout the body in addition to a collapsed trachea.”
