HOUSTON (KIAH) — The stormy Labor Day Holiday continues, with scattered to numerous showers and storms expected. Unlike previous days, the best potential for storms and heavy rain appears focused towards the coast.

However, there's still potential for storms and locally heavy rain inland through the Houston metro, and as far north as College Station.

Labor Day will be much like the rest of the weekend: snagging what summery conditions you can while dodging scattered showers and storms.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), there will be 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 10 a.m.. It will be partly sunny, with a high near 88.

NOTE: New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
